STRATA is a beautifully balanced medium roast espresso, bringing together coffees from Nicaragua, Colombia, Honduras and Ethiopia to create layers of dark chocolate, ripe mulberry and bright Meyer lemon.

It’s a coffee with a little richness, a little fruit, and a bright, lively finish.

But what makes it especially interesting is where it grows.

Coffee begins with a landscape. High mountain valleys, rich soils, shade trees and diverse growing traditions shape the character of each harvest. Across four origins, generations of farmers cultivate coffee in places where agriculture, community and the natural world are deeply connected.

In Nicaragua, the UCA San Juan del Río Coco cooperative brings together hundreds of smallholder producers in the mountains of Madríz. Beyond growing coffee, the cooperative supports its members through agricultural training, technical assistance and opportunities to strengthen their livelihoods. These landscapes are also home to the keel-billed motmot, a striking Central American bird whose future depends on protecting the habitats it calls home.

In Colombia, at Finca Santa Maria in Santander, a team of women brings skill and dedication to the cultivation and processing of coffee. Their work is a reminder that behind every harvest are the people whose knowledge and care shape what we taste in the cup.

In Honduras, the COMSA cooperative began with farmers seeking a different way forward through organic agriculture. Since its founding in 2000, COMSA has championed farming practices rooted in soil health, education and community, cultivating coffee in the highlands of the Montecillos mountain range.

And in western Ethiopia, at Asikana, coffee growing carries generations of family heritage. Working with hundreds of local farmers, the farm supports agricultural training and incorporates beekeeping into its operations—a connection between cultivation, pollinators and the wider living landscape.
