The Triunfo Verde Co-op is a collection of small farms located in the buffer zone of the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve. Located in the highlands of the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, the region is close to the Guatemalan border. Very nearby is the city of Huehuetenango, an ancient city with Mayan roots.
El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve contains Mesoamerica’s largest continuous cloud forest. It is a refuge for thousands of plant and animal species.The arabica beans produced here are all shade-grown. The farms of the Triunfo Verde Co-op take special care to create and maintain biological corridors to help bird and animal migration.
