Origin Details

The Tega & Tula farm, founded in 2000, is actually two adjacent farms named after the nearby villages of Tega and Tula. The two farms cover an area of over 1000 acres with about 80% of the land containing planted coffee. Located in the Kaffa zone of Ethiopia, at an elevation of 6,000 feet, the coffee is shaded by avocado trees.

The Kaffa zone is considered by many to be the birthplace of Arabica coffee and the Tega & Tula farm is right in the middle of this zone. It is a certified-organic farm that produces both washed and natural coffees.

The ownership of Tega & Tula has committed to complete traceability with its coffee. After the coffee is harvested, it is separated down to the plot of land it came from. This helps to ensure the quality of the coffee that you end up with in your cup!
